Summary
Still, Ted is placing Trent Crimm, The Independent in the nice fantasy but don't even think about it box.
“I’m sorry Trent, would you mind repeating the question there?”
Besides, Trent probably wouldn't be interested in a proverbial roll in the hay anyway.

Summary
The issue, as with most things in Roy’s life these days, starts with Jamie fucking Tartt.
He’s poking around Roy’s (meticulous, immaculate, organized) kitchen, complaining loudly about how Roy’s ran out of his favorite tea, and one of them needed to pick up some more next time they popped to the shops. And when the fuck did this happen? When did Roy start keeping Jamie’s favorite tea in his home, for when he’d inevitably come over after morning training? When did he start making double the omelets every day, start making sure the right flavor of Lucozade was on hand at all times?
Or, Roy realizes he's accidentally hurtling towards a full fledged relationship with Jamie Tartt, and has a Feeling about it.

Summary
"There was a reason he always included his newspaper at the end of his name. People should be identifying Trent with the Birmingham Mail, with journalistic rigor and sarcastic questions, not with locker room smiles. Not with left wing politics. Not with affairs with football players, whose evident straightness could be explained away with a fantasy of tragic closeting.
"But a boy could dream."
Trent Crimm has already lived a long and checkered life as a reporter, but when he meets an inexperienced coach called Ted Lasso, he breaks every single one of his own rules.
