The room is far more full than she’s ever seen it— she barely keeps her eyes from widening in surprise at the sight of Satine and Obi-Wan on the couch next to Padmé. Rex is there too. Anakin is still at her elbow.
“What’s going on?” Ahsoka asks. She barely keeps herself from looking back at the now-closed door she’d just come through, though from the way Obi-Wan’s eyes narrow, she thinks he saw the twitch of her shoulder as she considered making a break for it. “What are you guys doing here?”
The room at large shifts uncomfortably, the silence lasting just a beat too long.
And that’s just great, isn’t it? A room full of spies and negotiators and diplomats, and they hadn’t even managed to think of a good excuse for why they’re all here.

Knowing that this crime boss has a taste for togruta women, Ahsoka of course has to play the bait. A few things go wrong...
In the aftermath, Rex worries about an odd pattern he's noticed her pick up.

Obi-Wan rolled his shoulders and straightened his spine. The feeling of being watched intensified and split off into something more tangible; he cracked open his eye and glanced to the right. A bush of aura blossoms shook and he heard a distinct, tiny, ekekeke noise come from somewhere within. He bit down a smile and pretended not to hear it. The bush growled and shook again, then an orange and blue blur launched from within the iridescent flowers and landed on him.

He felt an arm slide itself around his waist and pull him a little closer. Anakin could’ve cried. He adjusted himself so his head was planted firmly on Obi-Wan’s shoulder and his body was tilted towards him. He sighed in relief when Obi-Wan’s hand shakily rose to brush through Anakin’s hair.
Anakin opened his mouth to say something, but what words could convey what he was feeling? He closed his mouth again, and let himself give in to the sleep.
Obi-Wan exchanged a glance with Rex, then lowered his head to rest it on top of Anakin’s, closing his eyes and feeling his body grow heavy.
