It was an ordinary day, until it suddenly was not.
Sophia answered on the first ring
"Megan? What happened?" Sophia’s voice came through the speaker, tense and sharp, already heavy with fear. It sounded as if she had felt something was wrong before the call even connected.
Her vision blurred even more. She tried to pull in air, gasping, her shoulders shaking. She tried to speak again, but her voice betrayed her.
"Y-Yoonchae… she… she…" Her words broke apart. "It’s all my fault."
"Megan, where are you?" Sophia continued.
"Yoonchae… there was an accident, Soph. I’m so sorry." Her voice shattered. "I killed her. It was my fault."
