Summary
Liam is a convict imprisoned for his involvement in the explosion of a space station called Filament Station. Over time, hope slips through his fingers like sand—he’s convinced that redemption is out of reach, and with it, any chance of freedom feels impossible.
Then, one day, an opportunity arrives. He’s told he will pilot a submersible called SM-13 or better known as “The Iron Lung” on an expedition into the Blood Ocean. His mission: to retrieve samples from skeletons and vital information from the depths. If he succeeds, freedom will no longer be just a distant dream.
Without really think about the risk, Liam takes and cling onto to this chance like a lifeline, accepting the offer with a mix of desperation and faint hope. Yet beneath that fragile hope lies a chilling truth—he might not return from the abyss intact or the same, if he returns at all.
