Shikamaru turns his head to the side, so he can look at her. "What do you mean?"
"I'm not anything special, I'm..." a nobody. "You could have better friends, that's all."
He's not looking at her anymore, his eyes upturned to the sky. "You are special, Sakura. One day, I'll make you see it."
She still thinks he could do better. But when he says he'll make her understand one day, she can't help but believe him.

It's supposed to be a one time thing. A practical joke forgotten, all their friends laughing it off and putting it in the past.
Unfortunately, Donghyuck and Jaemin click a little too well, to stay away for too long.
