Summary
The entrance of one Peter Parker was explosive in Gotham, both literally and figuratively.
When Spiderman made his debut, it was in tandem with Wilson Fisk’s encroachment upon the U.S.A’s most crime riddled city on the East Coast. The Kingpin had been making moves, trying his hand at getting a slice of Gotham’s particular brand of awful.
Jason chose to stay away from it all, not feeling particularly inclined to get involved with another moralistic hero type. He hadn’t added to his body count in a bit, but the blood on his hands had a habit of pissing off the virtuous more often than not.
That made it all the more surprising when Spiderman reached out to him first, landing on the same rooftop as Jason one random night in the middle of March.

He’d lectured him; ‘the world is so much bigger than the Batcave, Damian,’ he had said, like Damian hadn’t come from that world, saturated in blood and anger. Tim would never understand how hard Damian had fought for this life, and how desperately he did not want that to change.
Damian had thrown the letter in the trash. He’d curled up on his bed, ignoring the knocks of both Tim and Father. Damian just laid there, motionless, gripping his cell phone tightly in his hand.
