ABANDONED (SORRY)
Perhaps when Childe knew of his identity in just a few days, Zhongli could finally confess. When his Gnosis was in the Tsaritsa's hands, and he was free from his duties at last. In the meantime, he would indulge himself with Childe's company, though the feelings in his chest gnawed at him.
Childe knew of his identity the whole time, had known since the previous year's Rite of Descension, and had already resolved that he could not take his Gnosis. How could he, when he had fallen in love with Zhongli?
As the Exuvia's death comes and goes, Zhongli starts to wonder - when is the Eleventh Harbinger going to make his move?
Meanwhile, Childe starts to wonder - how long will it take before the Tsaritsa notices he has no intention of completing his mission?

Foul Legacy’s ugly, clamorous whispers rose sharply in his head. They prodded and tested his most volatile emotions. Fury, shame, self-hatred, his eagerness to destroy, to fight, to kill -
His best laid plans were a complete and utter failure. The Tsaritsa’s assignment had been poached out from under him, and his ineptitude allowed it. He had failed to find the god who hid right under his nose.
Liyue was supposed to be a straightforward mission, but had been played a fool by everyone; even himself.
He let himself get attached. To Liyue. To the pretty funeral consultant who told him about the world and now pulled it out from under his feet.
Perhaps it wasn’t Liyue he desired; maybe it was a man who never existed. A god who never really cared.
The whispers touched on something new, something tender, something more easily provoked: heartbreak; betrayal. They grasped, and they tugged, and something snapped.

Zhongli glared up at him, amber eyes narrowed into slits. “You know the answer.”
“I want to hear you say it.”
“Yes,” he gritted out. “I accept your offer.”
“Lovely,” Rouran purred. “The interview begins now. On your knees.”

Zhongli is coerced into moonlighting at the Pearl Galley; it's amazing what a few well-timed clicks of a kamera could do. Rouran has connections in every corner, and even a god cannot be everywhere at once.So he stays where he is certain he can protect everything. In six thousand years of life, he had certainly seen worse. He had seen worse. He was handling it.

Childe stumbles on an interesting find in the Northland Bank's files. Some sort of scheme of the Regrator's, no doubt. Offering insane amounts of money to gambling addicts - where did he expect to find repayment? At least it would be a good distraction from his more personal concern: his strained relationship with Zhongli.Because he certainly did not care about who the consultant slept with. So... why did seeing him on a 'date' hurt so much...?

TEMPORARY HIATUS
She knew Childe’s mission was complete, and she knew he had no reason to remain in Liyue, and she knew that the possibility of reconciliation was nonexistent but–
He was gone. Even if she were able to speak to him, she could not. Even if he wanted to be involved in their child’s life, he could not. And of course he couldn’t - he was a harbinger. This was never meant to happen. If it had been a choice, he wouldn't have considered it - and neither would Zhongli.
Zhongli, though alone and inexperienced, was settled down and had the means to care for a child. The knowledge of its existence alone would put a great strain on Childe and his duties and ambitions; this would hinder the rest of his young life.
Childe had no idea what he had left behind in Liyue, and - if Zhongli had anything to say about it - never would.

Recently, she got a tip from a devoted fan about a werewolf in a small town in Louisiana. Never one to turn down a job, she and Zhongli make the trip south to find out exactly what's going on in this town - and to take care of it, before it can harm anyone.

Zhongli's true name is Morax, a demon lord of Hell - but even for a being as powerful as himself, a soulbind was not something to be broken. For forty years he followed Old Hu in his monster-hunting escapades, and now he follows his daughter. He would never admit to it, but it was a life he secretly enjoyed.

So off they ventured, to a place where their fates would converge, and where a wolf and a demon might just fall in love.

At that, Illuga looked up. "Ah? You have? But you look the same. How have you been changing? Why?"
Illuga was looking at him. Therefore, Flins could not help but to smile again, to curl the corners of his lips up and to soften the glow of his eyes. "Why?" said he. "Because of you, young master.
"If this body has been changing, it is because of you."
Flins' humanoid form is borne of his thoughts, his feelings, his desires. And if his desires change, so too does that form.

On a windy night under a starlit sky, two Ratniki sat side by side on such a bench. For Flins, the cold was of little consequence. Illuga, try as he might, had no such resistance. A metal bench was not an ideal resting place in Nod Krai’s bitter chill—but Flins and the addictive heat of his body made it worth the trouble.
Illuga supposed such benches have their uses, after all.
