Summary
Suddenly Bridgerton slammed the opponent who’d hit him right into the glass in front of him. His shoulder hit the man with a thud and the plexiglass swayed towards them. Kate startled as the huge man hit the ice, part of her drink sloshing out of the plastic cup.
“Fucking hell!”
Bridgerton turned towards her, as though he’d only just remembered that he was in an arena surrounded by people currently screaming for him. She could see his dark hair damp as it curled out from under his helmet and he grinned at her, his teeth straight and white. Fuck.

Edwina resisted the urge to roll her eyes, her sister was ever the more cautious of the two of them “You don’t have to meet up with him, I’m just saying you should put yourself out there, perhaps have a conversation and then you can make you mind up. If you hate him after that you can block him on the app and you’ll never have to see or speak to him again”
Kate stared at her phone for a long moment, her finger hovering in the centre of the screen before she eventually swiped right “There, happy?” She said as she looked away from the phone and towards her sister
“Yes, and you should be too. Looks like you’re a match” Edwina smirked as she gestured down at the phone

“Excuse me!” Kate called out, letting Newton run forward. “Sorry, excuse me!”
The man turned around in surprise, looking down the street after them. “Yes? Are you…? Being chased?”
Kate ignored how the gravel of his seemed to echo through her. “We aren’t being chased. You are.”
He looked behind him and then down at Newton who was sniffing his immaculately polished shoe. “Who’s doing the chasing? Hello, doggy.”
