Honestly, Mo Ran had just been casually browsing through a dating app when he ran into a profile with his hardass graduate thesis advisor's name, Chu Wanning. Obviously, it was impossible for Professor Chu to be really using the site, so it had to be someone catfishing as him! This cannot stand, so Mo Ran changes his username to 'Mo Weiyu' to start messaging the "fake" Professor Chu. Except it turns out that chatting with "fake" Professor Chu is pretty fun, and Mo Ran may also need to reevaluate his feelings on the real Professor Chu.
