Marigolds: very often associated with the sun and renewal … but they have also come to symbolize a feeling of despaired love. If someone has lost someone they love, whether it be by death or a broken relationship. It could also be a symbol of rejection from someone you love.
Though, interestingly … In the Middle Ages, Marigolds were frequently carried as love charms. You would carry French Marigolds if you were trying to attract someone new.
A fix-it of sorts for Ratko and Varney.

Lisa’s voice hitches in her throat as she tries calling out to him. All that emerges is a pitiful, choked gasp. Her steps are heavy, trembling. The more this man comes into sight, every pulsating detail of his grotesque form clearer than ever, doubt becomes the master of Lisa’s inhibitions. Still, there is no gradual or sudden movement from this stranger. Only his deep, ragged breathing. Doubt and fascination govern Lisa’s steps, followed by her hand reaching out to help.

While peacefully living out their second chance at life in Whitby, Dracula and Lisa are suddenly discovered by the Infinite Corridor and are sent to another time where the once idyllic countryside is now swarming with violent creatures in the form of humans infected by uncontrollable rage.
