Summary
Hermione Granger understands being unwanted. The unwanted child conceived by two busy people at the height of their careers and shunted off on the first person they can find, Hermione spends the year leading up to her First Year at Hogwarts being hidden away and raised by a majority of the Hogwarts staff right under Dumbledore's nose.
Stumbling across the Potions classroom early on, she develops a kinship to Professor Snape. Throughout her first few years at Hogwarts, whenever she is on the outs with Harry and Ron for one reason or another she often times retreats to the Potions lab to find peace and safety in a school where she otherwise feels utterly alone most of the time, even amongst the people she considers friends.
At the end of fourth year she, Ginny, and Luna stumble through a door on the 7th floor that dumps them 20 years back in time to spring 1975, when the Mauraders ruled the school. Hermione again finds comfort in Severus, though now they are the same age and in the same house. She, Ginny, and Luna find themselves in a time both oddly the same and at the same time stunningly different from the time they left from and it doesn't take them long to begin to question whether they want to go back at all.Bookmarked by lilliz
