"Eh?" Hinata says to Kageyama's blinking face, and a slow smile tugs up his lips. And it's normal--Hinata smiling, he's always smiling--but there's a cheeky edge to it, a cocky one that's more Kageyama's than Hinata's, and a blissful glee in his eyes that's somehow different to what Kageyama is used to. He leans back in the couch and stares at Kageyama, and then, "Is it hot in here or am I the one making you blush?"
Kageyama scowls, because he's definitely not blushing, what the hell is he talking about? Except that, a second later, he realizes the skin of his face feels very warm--warmer than his entire body that already seems to sizzle with a hot buzz--so he must be blushing.
He scowls harder then, because why the hell is he blushing and why the hell is Hinata looking at him like that, and why is it making him feel so nervous and why the hell can't he stop staring at Hinata's collarbones, and--

literally grinning like an idiot the entire time reading this fic bc i absolutely love how cheeky hinata was the whole time, and how oblivious yet flustered kageyama was!!! oh my goodness!!! the boy is so dense because what do you mean he knows every single thing about hinata, feels the most comfortable with hinata, and yet has no clue that he likes him? not to mention hinata’s constant flirting with kageyama that the latter thinks it’s provoking. oh my gosh!! good on hinata for being so persistent because kageyama was seriously clueless 😭😭😭 but god damn hinata was really seducing him omg!!! kageyama is so silly, it makes me giggle. i love kageyama and hinata’s dynamics in this so much!!! the way they are very obviously each other’s best friends and lifelong partners, but know exactly how to tease and bicker with each other constantly. it is so funny how they keep carrying out their expressions of love in front of tsukishima 😭😭😭 i freaking cackled out loud when hinata flirted with kageyama, asking him about kissing when tsukishima was RIGHT THERE 😭😭😭 they are sooo freaking cute and silly and i love how playful but also sensual this was <333

this is so sweet and adorable <333 as much as kagehina getting together in timeskip is canon to me, i love them getting together in high school and having such a cute romance <3 i love how they acknowledged that everyone thought they were dating and just didn’t really care 😭😭😭 and kageyama thinking deeper about it and realizing that they might as well just date is so funny!!! their mutual confession was so cute and i love how it was so casual because they both could tell that they wanted to be partners forever 🥹🥹🥹

oh my gosh this is the most romantic thing i have ever read!!! you can just feel the love they have for each other melting off the words!!! i can’t stop giggling and kicking my feet seeing hinata describe how deeply he loves kageyama, and all their banter and flirting is just so cute. i seriously love how both their friendship and relationship dynamics haven’t changed despite them being together for so long <333 they literally only have eyes for each other, and they way they love each other is just so sweet <3 i love hinata being so insistent on finding the proper way to propose to kageyama, yet most of the times he gets so distracted by his love for kageyama that he forgets 😭😭😭 of course he ends up proposing spontaneously after their match against each other!!! nothing is more romantic than volleyball, after all! they are just the most perfect couple everrr i will never get sick of their dynamic and how they are both so silly and playful but also romantic and thoughtful. shobio u will always be famous!!!

Or in which in Hinata Shouyou is excited to return to Japan after his wedding, Kageyama is socially awkward as always, and a long-suffering salesman has to shoulder the herculean task of sitting between them on a twenty hour flight. Surely, Ikeda will make it off this flight in one piece... right?

this was so so so cute omgosh i am smiling so much!!! i love seeing outsider’s pov of kagehina’s relationship dynamic, and this is even more unique because it’s someone who doesn’t know them at all. and frankly, the two of them look crazy!!! the way they don’t seem to mesh at all, and just keep bickering and arguing with each other omg. bro ikeda for having to sit IN THE MIDDLE!!! of them!!! but of course, when you look closer you can just see how fond of each other they are <333 the way hinata spoke so warmly about kageyama and their wedding!!! how the two of them were nervous about messing up, how attentively kageyama took care of hinata… they are their own unique brand of craziness but they are so in love you can’t look away!!! love this fic and love them both so much!!!

i reallyyy enjoyed this fic so much!! i think it was such a good description of kageyama and hinata’s dynamics. i love how kageyama views hinata as someone intertwined with volleyball, to the point he can’t imaging playing without him. i love hinata feeling more motivated because around kageyama because he feels like he has to catch up with him. and i love atsumu in this!!! the way he reminds hinata that HE would never let kageyama get away just because he’s afraid of change and rejection. and i love how obvious it is that the both of them love each other very much, as friends, teammates, rivals and lovers <333 i think it is so sweet how they are confessing and kissing through bickering, i love that their dynamic remains largely unchanged despite them getting together!!
