Summary
“Are you aware that normal people don’t start conversations like this?” Regulus asks skeptically, never breaking eye contact.
“Haven’t really thought about it,” James says unbothered with a silly smile on his lips. Of course he didn’t. He definitely speaks and acts without thinking twice.
Perhaps that’s convenient for Regulus.
“Well, did my shit taste in books bother you so much you had to come over here and tell me personally, or what?” He leans back on his chair, visibly annoyed.
“Despite the fact that your taste in books is definitely interesting, it’s not what first caught my attention.” James' gaze travels over Regulus, making him tense under the boy’s eyes.
Is James Potter flirting with him or is he hallucinating?
This could be it—the opportunity to carry out his plan. James is actually the perfect person to kill.
Or, where Regulus Black struggles to find a purpose in life, and the lines begin to blur as he starts confusing the adrenaline of killing with the new, disturbing feelings James Potter stirs in him.
