Summary
Gale shouldn’t be entirely startled to find a vampire standing in the middle of his foyer, wet clothes dripping on the carpet and hands cupped around something small and equally soaked through.
He shouldn’t be, and yet…
“I found her in a crate,” Astarion says, shifting his grip to reveal a tiny slip of a kitten, sodden and shivering. His expression is bemused as he looks down at the little creature.
For all Astarion’s readiness to stab those deserving and undeserving alike, cruelty to animals bewilders him. Something Gale finds endlessly charming, not that he would ever say as much.

Gale likes Astarion. Astarion likes cats. Gale might have made a slight miscalculation somewhere.

“You,” he says, and gods help him but Astarion has missed that smug little note of ah-hah! in his voice, “came here to rescue me!”
“I,” Astarion sniffs, “came here to save the illustrious and noble city of Waterdeep. Anticipating a generous reward, naturally.”
“You're here for me,” Gale insists, still grinning. His eyes are shining.
He looks so fucking radiant, it makes Astarion want to stab something.
In which Astarion saves the day, and Waterdeep, and Gale. That last one is completely incidental, you understand. And no, he is not lying to himself, darling. That you would even suggest such a thing.

“Arrogant,” he finally says. “Insufferably clever. He claimed he could have been Mystra's Chosen, but he turned her down.”
The group (sans Tav) meet Astarion by the beach. They don't meet Gale. If you ask Astarion, that just means they have to look harder.

Summary
When they got inside, Peter pulled him over to the desk at the windows, then stopped right in front of it and turned towards him. Stiles stared at him, expecting him to say something, but all Peter did was point above them with the hand that wasn't holding his.
Stiles looked up at the soft orange light above them and saw a little bundle of mistletoe hanging from it. Before the meaning of this even clicked, Peter's hand slid along the side of his neck, thumb pressing into the underside of his jaw. Stiles looked down at him, and they stared at each other for a moment. Stiles' heart had taken lift-off and his brain was trying to run a million miles an hour, but it was all silent nothings. Like he was running along a track that wasn't there.
"Peter..." Stiles said breathlessly, a little scared but too wanting to pull away.

Summary
Stiles stormed into the warehouse, eyes roaming around, desperate to find Peter. The pack was close behind Stiles, but he didn’t pay them any mind when his eyes fell on Peter.
He was on the floor, not even shackled, like someone had just discarded him without a second thought.
Peter was naked except for his pants, and Stiles could see the wounds that marred his skin. He decided not to think about why they weren’t healed.

Stiles watched as Peter fell silent, withdrawn. Stiles' eyes flicked at the cup and then at the ceiling after a few other suspicious noises escaped the wolves above and then back at the cup before meeting Peter’s gaze again. His eyes had lost all emotion and his facial features were neutral, almost forcedly so, and Stiles suddenly just knew the wolf wanted to be anywhere but there.
