Summary
Jayce is slow to awaken, his senses feeling dulled and his body numb. But his mind knows something is wrong and he fights to fully waken and open his eyes. It takes a moment of hard effort, but he flutters open his eyes and is greeted by a dark room, the moonlight still streaming in the balcony windows the only light. He darts his eyes around the room and lets out a groan as he tries to move and finds that he can’t. He’s so groggy and doesn’t know what awoke him, only a vague sense of danger triggering ancient animal instincts. His eyes settle on the darkest patch of the room, over by where the bookcase and chaise are. The shadows there are deep. Jayce stares into the void and the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. He feels like he’s not alone.
Jayce has another encounter with Viktor's Hexdrones and this time Mel isn't there to save him.

i'm starting to get the appeal lolViktor wished, desperately, that he had a script for this encounter.
Bullet points, at the very least, for how to respond when one's colleague brings up a risqué comment that visibly scandalized them. One that scraped a wee bit too close to Viktor's own sexual tastes, because Jayce Talis wandered a little too close to the concept of submission and Viktor's dick leapfrogged his brain.
This could be Jayce's attempt at making it less awkward, massaging his initial reaction into a new inside joke. Which means that if Viktor breaks kayfabe, it's just going to make things weirder. He can play ball.
Oh? And what appeal is that?
Eighteen months into spearheading Piltover Dynamics' Hextech project together, Jayce and Viktor are on the precipice of becoming tech industry darlings. For the first time in his life, Viktor has the promise of a meaningful career, the ability to pay his medical bills, and a colleague he enjoys spending time with. It takes a while for his eyes to adjust, blinking and blinking until everything collapses back into coherent geometric shapes, and what comes into view is the dark silhouette of a person standing in a similar fashion to how Jayce had stood a moment prior. Feet on the ground, head bowed to view the water.
Before he can even think what to say, Jayce calls into the air, “Hey,” and slides sideways into the light where he might see him.
Or: some encounters were always destined to occur. The specifics regarding in which manner, however, are a little fuzzy.
