Shane had fully intended to argue for the privilege of carrying her out. Then he'd seen Ilya carrying her. And, well…
Watching his husband carry their daughter while looking like someone’s ridiculously hot dad wasn’t exactly suffering. So Shane lingered half a step behind, mostly because he enjoyed the view.
“Stop thirsting over me, Shane,” Ilya said without turning around. “We are in public.”
"What?" Shane blushed. “I'm not.”
The nurse escorting them down the hall let out a laugh.
“I've been married to you long enough,” Ilya said. “I think I can feel when you are undressing me with your eyes.”

Or Two years after TLG, Shane and Ilya are married, living together, and playing for the same team. Over the next year, they must tackle the biggest challenge they've faced together... parenting.

She is practical, disciplined, and competitive, and a force to be reckoned with on the ice. Second born, Dasha, is Ilya's child through and through, a menace on both the ice and in their house. But she is also extremely loyal, loving, and charming, and you can't help but adore her. The youngest child, and only boy, Maksim, is a sweet, caring, and quiet child. He's great on the ice as well, but sometimes prefers the quiet of the local museum or library, much to his sisters' confusion.
