Summary
“Easy now, Your Grace. You’ll make the claim wound worse, and it’s ugly enough already. I’ve seen dogs mark each other gentler.”
Ser Duncan the Tall should have died at Ashford. Instead, he won—and in doing so, committed a greater offense: he put his teeth to a Targaryen prince. What passed between him and Prince Aerion refuses to stay buried. As whispers spread and the crown moves to contain what it cannot name, Dunk finds himself bound to the very man he should fear most—and cannot seem to leave.

Summary
Dunk crossed his arms. "What are you doing skulking in the dark?"
"Looking at the stars," the voice drifted back.
"And what do the stars say?" Dunk asked.
"They say you smell of sweat and road dust," the man replied dryly, without a hint of shame. "They say you ought to find a bath before you present yourself to the lordlings, or they might mistake you for one of their draft ponies."
Or: Since Ashford, Dunk and Egg have lived the life of true hedge knights. They are currently heading North, drawn by the promise of service with Lord Stark to fight off Ironborn raiders. But a chance encounter on the road is about to pull them into a wedding tourney at Whitewalls, a castle built by a family that once fought for the Black Dragon.Bookmarked by labloopy

Summary
“To the Giant of Flea Bottom,
Do not think this is over. I have paid three men in the Reach to follow you. If you sleep, they will be watching. If you eat, they will be counting the bites. If you find yourself some common omega wench that you’ve fallen in love with, I want their fingers brought to me in a box of salt. You are a stain on the laws of gods and men, and I will watch you rot from across the world.
— A.T.”
Dunk is only trying to be of honorable service, but his travels are constantly interrupted by “hate” letters from a certain exiled prince across the Narrow Sea.

Summary
Hushed, as if sharing a secret, Raymun continues.
“Some of the lords and knights here believe they’re hiding Aerion Targaryen’s true designation. That he’s an omega they’re not keen on marrying off to some house that’s beneath them so they’re lying about it.”He hums, eyes in the distance again, trying to see where the prince had gone but finding nary a trace of him. If they truly are hiding that he is an omega then they are doing an admirable job of it. Especially considering the scent of him that had had Dunk fighting hard not to bristle.
“I can imagine why.”
(aka the bitching of one Aerion Targaryen in hopes of making an omega and the consequences of such actions)

Summary
"You thought the open road would give you the freedom you sought," Aerion then murmured. "You forget that a man who enforces the laws of the crown is nothing more than a dog—and dogs are really rather simple to chain." He leaned forward, lifting onto his toes as if trying to stand at equal height to Dunk, though he could not manage. "Would you like me to show you how easily I can chain a dog, Ser Duncan?" he whispered, and the question ignited a fire in Dunk that coursed through his veins like wildwife.
Tasked with finding a poisoner who's been felling entire keeps in the muddy town of Mistwood, Dunk and Egg discover a certain foul-faced prince who's escaped from exile in Lys, and who else is stubborn enough to bring the prince to heel and return him home to Summerhall?
