Summary
It was too late for an exposé on it; no, that would have to wait for next week, but countless articles were already floating around and she’s sure the rumor mills will spike soon enough — if the public claims she’s dating Mysaria Lys again, Alicent might actually kill her.
(Warming up the espresso machine with one hand — “Dexterous, aren’t you?” Alicent asks coyly, smirk lopsided and utterly dangerous; she hooks a finger into the tie looped around Rhaenyra’s neck, tugging her forward, till they’re face-to-face and chest-to-chest, bringing her down for a kiss that’s as rough as it is hot— and flicking open the carton of milk with the other, Rhaenyra slumps against the countertop, staring at the ceiling pattern designs and wishing a solution would come to her.)
Or: in other words, the shenanigans of Rhaenyra, part-time Spider-man and full-time lovergirl.

Summary
“So… he’s dead,” is how Gwayne starts, all very casual, like how one might say “The grass is green,” or “Nice weather we’re having!”
Alicent rolls her eyes. Dead? She nearly laughs. He’s only dead when there isn’t a soul left to remember who exactly Otto Hightower was. She repeats as much out loud. “Dead as a zombie, maybe. His soul lives on.”
Gwayne seems to decide that the best course of action is to ignore her remark, because he carries on with, “The funeral’s next week. Yes, we both have to speak.” Just as Alicent’s about to start arguing, because she doesn’t think the thoughts she has about their father are very appropriate for a funeral, Gwayne quickly adds, “Rhaenyra will be there.”
She halts in place.
(Because, the truth is — undeniably — Rhaenyra being there might actually be worse than writing a speech she doesn’t mean for her father’s funeral).
Or: Otto dies, and murder mystery ensues.

Summary
She ends her freshman year with zero starts to her name.
An anchor to her pathetically sinking status comes in the form of LSU contacting her in late April, a week before she has the option to enter the transfer portal. The offensive coordinator calls her directly — entirely unusual, but entirely flattering — and tells her they need someone who can think fast and throw faster; LSU is searching for a quarterback that isn’t afraid to take risks.
And, well, LSU’s current record is shit, but they’ve had quite a few stars fly from their nest. Big names. NFL names. And, more importantly, they want to start her. It’s all she needs to hear, really, because at the end of the day, she’s a damn good quarterback, and can do plenty with a start. Even if the rest of her team’s atrocious with a capital A.
Agnes accepts before the call ends.
Or: Agnes is a star QB, and Becka just might be the perfect right-hand man she needs.

Summary
There’s a girl on the screen, and when she glances at the stream’s description, she finds her name — Megan, Yoonchae silently mouths, tasting the syllables. It feels good in her mouth; “Megan,” she says out loud this time, and finds that it’s stretchy, and vibrant, and awfully reminiscent of some sugary-sweet candy, like a taffy.
Or: Yoonchae yearns.

Summary
She just needs some time to herself — to, like, clear her head and be born anew. Whatever, y’know? Everything is fine and dandy; more importantly, Manon’s fine and dandy, and the fine-and-dandy-Manon will text Sophia back later, when she’s feeling more like… herself.
Except.
She doesn’t text back.
Or: we destroy ourselves yet beg to be rebuilt by others anyway.
