Summary
Mok thinks the reason why they were for so long forbidden to love was this; the way Mok's heart wavers when it comes to Rome, how his heart and mind get erratic if he thinks Rome is in danger—it's not a good trait for a bodyguard, not a good trait for someone that has to have a cold head and heart in order to protect the family.
But that isn't his job anymore, he's jobless now, fired from the only thing he knows how to do: be Thee's assistant, his confidant, a right-hand man and protector. This job that had been the only thing that forced him away from the distraction that now stands behind him as a calm and steady presence.
A calm and steady presence that Mok knows isn't the reality of what the boy, the man, behind him is really feeling. Better than anyone, Mok knows how temperamental and impulsive Rome can be.

Summary
William is a 34 year old tattoo artist and single father who has spent years perfecting the art of being steady for his two kids. To tutor them, he appoints Est, a 23 year old teacher whom he later learns lives on the floor below.
What begins as a purely practical arrangement slowly turns into something heavier. William is painfully aware of the age gap and everything that could go wrong. Est, on the other hand can’t stop thinking about how devastatingly attractive William is.
