Summary
Vi's chest constricts. She can't be back here. She can't be back here again, not after Stillwater, not after that version of Caitlyn. The wound aches, like an old scar in the middle of a winter's day, and the memory of Caitlyn's hands is tender violence, but the phantom of her weapon striking her in such familiar brutality is just violence, plain and simple. Her hands — free from her wraps, calloused but softened by the months living under the Kiramman's roof; has she made a mistake in letting herself live easy after everything that has happened? — grasp at that old wound, scar, bruise (it hits the same spot every time; why does it hit the same spot every time?).
(Or, Vi discovers trauma is not so easily forgotten, and Caitlyn tries to nurse an old wound that has been re-opened too many times.)

Summary
According to the rules, calling off the wedding requires a minimum of four hours of discussion, with mandatory cool-off periods of at least one meal and one sleep (or nap), and parental mediation by the only parent they have left between them. Vi privately thinks that Tobias only agreed to this in order to get them out of his office so he could get back to organizing the clinic shift schedule, but a deal is still a deal.
And so far, the wedding is still on.
Or: Vi and Cait plan a wedding, solve multiple mysteries, receive some surprising visitors, and survive disaster again, apart and together.

An insane idea to destress together during a spontaneous and very practical one-night-stand turns into many more nights, studying and de-stressing as tutors-with-benefits.
Between Caitlyn's insane Pre-Law class schedule and Vi's commitments to her Engineering degree and her captaincy of the rugby team - and their historic Runeterra University Rugby Championship (RURC) run - Caitlyn and Vi discover that they have a lot more in common than being stressed out of their minds and insanely attracted to each other.
