Summary
When Lavender Brown sees someone in trouble, her first instinct is to go help, even if that someone is as unpleasant as a Blast-Ended Skrewt. So in fifth year, when Lavender has a prophetic dream in which Professor Snape is bitten by a giant snake, she immediately starts planning to save him.
Along the way, Lavender learns to enjoy Potions and even, slowly, starts to appreciate the teacher she's trying to save. Their newfound mentorship, however, makes the bewilderment Lavender feels all the more painful when Snape kills Dumbledore at the end of sixth year. Summary
