Summary
One of the beauties about their relationship was that Pyro was never one to love quietly, only between the 4 walls, no. It was loud and it loved with everything it had in its big heart, it loved with its entire mind and body settled into this, so much so that at times, it would feel like it loved like a dog: loyal, caring, and hopelessly devoted. Dell wasn’t too different, never loud, he loved quieter, but openly, proudly, not afraid to show it, never giving excuses for it, and not for a single second, doubting his decisions of loving his partner in all the ways a mercenary could.
In nights like this, they reminded one another of their utter devotion for each other.

Shadow... Is exceedingly bad at feelings. This was obvious from the start, staying far even from the ones that he cared about the most. He is an only child of the universe, working alone ever since he first stepped foot on this Earth.
But that does not mean that he doesn't feel anything. He does, strongly. Grief, love, compassion, sadness, hatred, apreciation, he feels all of those like bullets to his heart. And maybe, eventually, the hard shell that protects him can be broken.
Or... Shadow is bad at feelings, Sonic is bad at feelings, everyone is pinning and the writer is suffering.
