One day he gets a sensei, and learns he can improve significantly faster as long as he follows his sensei's traditions. Even if he hates it.

Kakashi shouldn’t be surprised. Naruto was blankfaced at the explanation of what chakra was — the entire foundation of all life, and critical to comprehension of, well, everything related to being a shinobi — so him not knowing there was an entire spectre of gender related to one's development was arguably more reasonable to not know. But just because he shouldn’t be surprised, didn’t mean he wasn’t.

Summary
Sasuke was driven by ambition.
By want.
He wanted to be a deadly and feared shinobi. To prove to everyone that his secondary gender did not define him.

“Shut the fuck up. That’s not the problem here. You? A ‘zest for life?’ Looking forward to each new morning? Hah! Rimbaud would sooner come back to life.”
Dazai turns to Chuuya with the barest facsimile of a smile painted over his lips.
“I,” he says sweetly, “am going to gut you open like a fish.”
Dazai and Chuuya are seasoned mafiosos at the ripe old age of almost-seventeen. They’ve fought gang wars, interrogated prisoners, and done all manner of unspeakable things. Now, they face their greatest challenge yet: going (undercover) to a real high school. With regular teens (who may or may not be desperately trying to get them to kiss).
