Philza bends down. Looks his child in the eyes.
"Who are you?" He asks.
"Technoblade," the child answers, and he shakes his head.
"No, you're not," he says, not unkindly, and the child's face crumples up in a decent imitation of a child's confusion, but, he thinks as he watches them, not Technoblade's confusion. No, his Techno would scrunch up his nose, bluntly demanding an explanation to what he doesn't understand, and this child is not Techno.
"It's okay," Philza says softly, gently, and he doesn't make a move to touch the child, as much as he wants to put a hand on their shoulder or hold their little fist in his own, something reassuring. He just watches them, eyes not unkind, and persists.
"Who are you?" He asks softly.
The child is quiet for a long moment, staring at him. They stop tearing up, and a new look comes into their eyes. Something inquisitive, and curious.
"I'm Wilbur," the child whispers.
Philza nods. "It's nice to meet you, Wilbur."SBI Changeling au; Philza goes on a trip to get his kid back and also adopts the changeling that replaced him. Inspired by that one tumblr post 😔
