Xie Lian happily clapped his hands. “It’s good to see Lord Black Water well, it’s been a while since we were graced with your presence.” It must have been, if the smile he sported looked more like his husband’s insincere smile than his own.“Hn,” shrugged the devastation, inhaling his food. Hua Cheng and Xie Lian exchanged nervous glances. He Xuan took notice of it, but decided to ignore it. They decided to come here, they even brought a gift. It was obvious they had a request of some kind, and he was enough of an asshole to not want to make it easier for them.
Clearing his throat, Xie Lian announced, “It’s been fifty years, did you know?”
----He Xuan receives the unexpected visit of Crimson Rain and his husband. They bring news of what has been happening since he last awoke. He doesn't take the news too well.

Summary
In the Xuanwu Cave, the Sword decides it is tired of waiting on Wei WuXian, it wants death, destruction, and chaos, now. Before mid-war when Wei WuXian returns for it or before Wei WuXian falls into the Burial Mounds—however the timestream decides to flow. Weak from fever Wei WuXian cannot fend off the Sword and its machinations. The Sword shows Wei WuXian how ‘good’ they could be together, how if the world was going to burn, they could be the ones lighting the fires. Wei WuXian sees a future where most of his loved ones die and decides all he needs is family (and maybe a tiny bit of demonic cultivation) to stop the world from burning down completely.

Summary
Wei Wuxian's life had derailed the moment he presented as an omega. He felt like the same person, despite his new biological reactions, yet everyone acted like his whole life should change. How could a poor omega like him become an engineer? Even if his poor little brain could figure out the math, who would want to hire him? Which made his promotion to the Director of Engineering that more rewarding. It was proof that his hard work and planning was finally coming together. He could pratically taste his future on the horizon.
There was nothing that could derail his plans....except maybe running into the alpha that had started it all.
