“Don’t pick up trash from the ground,” Honami tells Shibao scoldingly. He whimpers at her tone, which elicits a wave of consolatory praise and pets from Honami and leaves Saki seething.
Saki can pick up plastic wrappers with her mouth, too. So what? Shibao isn’t special just because he’s a dog.
Saki, on the other hand, is special. And if Honami doesn’t want to act like it, Saki will just have to do something about it.

Ichika lets out a sigh as she watched the snow fall over the New York skyline. Her breath fogs up the window, making things blur together even more. The snow was perfectly romantic- the slow, soft drift that was present in every cliche holiday movie out there. She was sure that she could turn on the old TV in her hotel room and catch any one of them, all the same as each other.
