Date and Ryuki get stuck sharing a hotel room while traveling for a case. Date gets drunk. Ryuki does a great job being professional and thinks about every detail of their situation a perfectly normal amount.

Time travel. It sounds so obviously stupid. And maybe it's a mistake to try to rationalize anything that goes on in his head, but — from the moment he'd woken up at half past four in the morning on his bathroom floor with a pounding headache, every detail had been exactly the same, from the cars outside his window to the argument Date and Mizuki were having when he arrived at the shrine.
The morning after the explosion at the Naix cathedral, Ryuki wakes up to find himself back at the start of the previous day, with a chance to prevent the tragedy before it unfolds. This proves more difficult than expected.

Ryuki's definitely thought about killing himself before, that was no surprise. He's dealt with death since the young age of 12, then at 17, and now he sees it constantly when he's on the job. Honestly, Ryuki thinks that he looks like a guy who'd want to kill himself.
Messy black hair, tired eyes, poor personality, shitty jokes, the way most of his smiles are more polite than genuine… he even cut thumb holes into his sweater.
