Summary
Discovering the Supernatural novels was a complete accident. When reading them, what caught Claire’s attention were the things that weren’t explicitly mentioned. The vague references to their father, John. The way that Sam seemed to hate the man while Dean worshipped him. The stories that trailed off whenever it mentioned John drinking or getting mad. The weeks on end that John would leave the boys in motels while he was off hunting. The remarks of running out of money, not being able to afford food or payment for their room. How Dean would always manage to scrounge up the money to put food in Sam’s belly and keep the motel room for a few more days.

Claire discovers the Supernatural books. Claire finds a cassette tape at a thrift store. Claire tries to get Dean to talk about his feelings. What could go wrong?
