Angel wants everything with him, but it's too late past the deadline, so he watches that mouth and sets his tongue against his own lips aching for the kiss that won't come.

Summary
In the wake of Vox's disaster the Vees are trying to build back up their reputations and power with Angel as the face of the company. All of Pentagram city is flooded with his face from speeches to product endorsements to his shows. He's being worked to the bone but managing to keep that sultry smile in place.
Husk has been in mourning for the loss of the only person he gave a damn about and it turns bitter, leaving the cat to decide he now hates the spider. He convinces himself the time they spent together at the hotel was an act all by itself, that nothing had ever been true and the Angel he sees everywhere is the real Angel Dust. One night he confronts Angel and declares his hate and Angel decides he hates Husk, too. Hate is easier to handle.
Too bad hate's a flimsy act all by itself.
