Summary
When her manager Eunbi informs her that the company promised to pull out all the stops for her solo debut, Chaewon did not exactly expect this.
This being entering the meeting room for the concept planning of her music video, and seeing Kim Minju sitting on the other side of the long table. Kim Minju, who’s looking at her with her sparkly doe eyes, the way she used to do all those years ago.
It’s like a punch in the gut, only not as painful, but just as surprising, and as effective at leaving Chaewon suddenly breathless.

The privilege of meeting Kuina and seeing her smile is the one good thing out of all of this. For that, Ann thinks she can forgive this world just a little bit.
Then Ann feels it. This is it. She’s slipping away and this time, there’s no coming back. How unfortunate.
In a better world than this, Ann thinks she could have spent a lifetime loving Kuina.

“I know everything is kind of confusing right now, what with all this and the meteorite and whatever. But, maybe we can figure this out. Together.” Kuina smiles invitingly, walking closer and tilting her head at Ann. “What do you think?”
Three seconds pass before Ann responds, her lips twitching up into a small smile that makes Kuina feel lighter. Ann nods resolutely and extends her hand, “Okay. Nice to meet you, Kuina.”
Kuina grins, “Nice to meet you, Ann.”
Their hands touch and the world feels right again

Lovers. Lovers used to give them when reunited, but it’s an old enough custom that Tifa might have picked up a slightly different connotation or interpretation from a different book and meant absolutely nothing by it—
And still. Aerith’s eyelashes flutter as she takes in the gift, carefully tracing the edge of a petal.
