Summary
Luckily, when he stepped up to the cabin, he could hear Wukong letting out soft, even breaths. That meant he could quickly search for his scarf without having to talk to him. Wukong was draped over the sofa, wearing a thin shirt and a pair of shorts, peacefully sleeping the evening away. He seemed to be overheating, as his shirt was soaked in a few places, two perfectly round spots resting over his chest. Macaque glanced around the room before doing a double-take.
That's a strange place to have sweat...
Or: Wukong is lactating, and Macaque is totally normal about it.

The night was young, they were three bottles of peach wine deep, and a fight seemed like the perfect way to blow off some steam. How they found themselves grinding like teenagers at a frat party was beyond them.

Wukong paused and blinked in visible confusion. His socked feet then continued to move across Macaque's kitchen floor. "I mean, wouldn’t be the first time I've done it, so I can’t say I’m that surprised.”
“Wh—”
Wukong stopped plating potatoes. “... okay, but we did make out, right?”
Macaque sputtered. “What—no?”
“Ah, bummer.” Wukong’s lips quirked into a little grin before he turned back towards the stove. “How do you like your eggs, by the way?”

or, it all starts with wukong breaking into macaque's apartment drunk, and now here comes the cliché of the century: two monkeys in art school (who both are secretly lonely, broken, touch-starved messes) fall in love and try to keep their shit from getting in the way for once in their life.

Summary
Maybe it was the summer mountain heat frying Macaque’s brain… But Wukong has smelled absolutely delectable recently. Wukong smells like a peach, grown ripe and tender under the sun. He smells like the skin of the peach fermenting under the harsh rays, while the flesh inside stays juicy and crisp.
Wukong smells like peaches, and Macaque can’t help but wonder if he tastes like it too.
