The group decided they were heading to Fort Benning, the CDC was a fail. You had hot water for the first time in three months, which didn’t seem long at all, but when you lived it, it felt like years. It felt like years since the world was normal, you remember it all so well. Seeing the news, calling Amy, who was already with her sister Andrea freaking out, then calling the guy you were dating, Daryl, who was already on the way. You remember protesting, and then immediately giving him an ultimatum. He was picking up Amy and Andrea too or he was driving back home alone. In the end he did, obviously, that’s how you even met the group you did.

I wandered around, taking in my surroundings, “Lakeside Amusement Park” said the big sign above the entrance in a neat, pretty cursive. It was another dream. I could tell from all the fog, and that pink rabbit costume staring at me from afar. I knew I was just paranoid, but those stupid mascots scared the life out of me. Getting too close was like nasal suicide. Everything here smelled like death.
