Summary
Astarion is falling in love, but he doesn't know what to do with those feelings after centuries of torture at Cazador's hands. He tells himself this cannot be, and yet... every day he falls just a bit harder.
Note: This fic is from the POV of Astarion. It is meant to be about a male Tav, though I have not used a name yet. Perhaps in newer chapters.
Also, if you haven't finished the game, please read at your own discretion. This is written in the quiet between in-game moments that you don't get to see on screen. Which is to say that it most certainly will contain spoilers for the main plot as well as for Astarion's romance.

Summary
Their last feeding had been the night before confronting Cazador- anything to give Astarion the upper hand against the bastard- and that had been nearly a tenday ago.
So, he feels bad. And- if he’s being honest- a small part of him fears that, with Cazador finally dead for good, Astarion will have no more use of him and soon discard him for someone else, someone better. Because, really, who in their right mind would want to romantically involve themselves with a Bhaalspawn?
Hawthorn seeks out Astarion for a midnight snack.
