Summary
On the way to the Spire on Tuchanka, accompanying Mordin to disperse the genophage cure, Garrus and Shepard find... an alternate route. Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say an alternate route finds them?
Strategic Displacement is a short, self-contained fic exploring Garrus' and Shepard's relationship with the concepts of lost and found: getting lost, being lost, finding themselves, finding each other, and finding meaning and answers after losing hope. It is set during the Priority: Tuchanka mission of Mass Effect 3, and features no other characters heavily, although several are mentioned or appear in passing. It varies between banter and serious conversation as they work to escape a dangerous situation that has no clear way out.

One such group is hard at work freeing the French countryside with the help of scavenged heat sinks, old-fashioned sneaking, and a bunch of angry bulls.

Summary
The war is over and Shepard's still alive.
Except she doesn't really understand what war everyone is talking about, or who half of these people are... The last thing she does remember is the Normandy blowing up over Alchera. Which apparently was a few years ago, and things had changed a lot during that time. She doesn't even know which bothers her more: that everyone wants her to be someone she's not, or that Garrus has been strangely distant ever since she woke up...TL;DR: Shepard survives the Crucible but loses all her memories since Cerberus rebuilt her. Shakarian angst and regular angst, all mixed up together into a nice hurt/comfort cocktail. Despite the scary tags this has a happy ending.

after the war, shepard and garrus catch up on trying to be a "normal" couple. welcome to a series of what i hope will be "firsts" as these two war veterans struggle to show love to each other in ways they never imagined they'd be able to with the threat of the reapers hanging overhead.
this is their first dinner date - one of their first attempts to put down the weapons and armor, and just be... a normal couple.
but the two get a little caught up in the past (and their own doubts).

Summary
A Shakarian romance that goes above & beyond (or at least before & after) what we were given in the games - including eventually into Andromeda. Some canon, some AU - the characters don't always follow the arc they were given. This is my take on my favorite romance. Enjoy!
