Hobbits are not what the others races believe. Crafted by the Valar and blessed with inherited magics called knacks, Hobbits have been ensuring the peace between the Free Peoples for a long time. No one else knows and Hobbits are content to keep it that way. However, years ago Shire life was disrupted by the marriage of Gerontius Took to Adamanta Chubb, originally known as the dragon Arradeth. Years later Bilbo Baggins is paying the price of being an odd hobbit, having inherited both Took and Baggins knacks along with his grandmother’s blood, and is the only one of her line to also have a dragon form. Now Gandalf the Grey is once again in need of a hobbit for an adventure and Bilbo must decide. Should he accompany the wizard and his group, face a dragon, and risk revealing Shire and family secrets? Or does he abandon his people’s sacred purpose and allow a stubborn king to send part of Middle Earth into war? Not to mention that if Bilbo does go he risks not only his life, but losing his dragon Heart to a band of suicidal dwarves. You know the clichéd Bilbo-the-dragon-skin-changer stories? Let’s do something a bit different.
Dragons are less endangered than most people would prefer. Dwarves are twitchy about that sort of thing, but Gandalf isn’t going to let that stop him, because there’s one dragon that’s a hobbit where it counts, and it’s not in his appearance.
Bilbo Baggins is not particularly ancient, or the lone member of a once great race of skin changers. He wasn’t cursed, he’s not on probation. He hasn’t got a grudge to fulfil or a debt to repay. He's a dragon, and that's not the type of thing that's easy to hide.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit with a taste for second breakfasts and a twinkle of mischief in his eye, led a double life. In the Shire, he was a respectable hobbit, content with pipeweed and afternoon naps. But whispers followed him beyond the rolling green hills.
He was Prince Took in the bustling taverns, a charming rogue with fantastical tales and pockets suspiciously lighter on coin. Back home, he was "Mad Baggins," a title earned for his unorthodox ways and penchant for disappearing acts that brought back souvenirs like troll teeth and elven daggers.
Yet, his most intriguing title surfaced far from the Shire. Campfires crackled with hushed tales of the Smiling Demon – a phantom swift, silent, and deadly. This legend, shrouded in mystery, painted Bilbo as a figure of vengeance, his smile a chilling mask before swift, merciless judgment.
The truth, however, was as elusive as smoke. Was he a monster lurking in the shadows? Or a guardian, a protector cloaked in secrecy? No one knew for sure. The Smiling Demon remained an enigma, a riddle wrapped in an unsettling grin. And perhaps, that very mystery was what made him most terrifying.
