Summary
Ryou, a relentlessly repressed and controlled accountant, accidentally slips between dimensions. Since he's a practical, cautious man and not a complete idiot, he retraces his steps and slips right back out again. But he's not alone. And now his life is going to take a sharp turn away from "repressed" and "controlled", to very strange places indeed: into a warped image of the past and into a very uncertain future, through war and violence, to the very edges of reality and beyond.

Since he's a practical, cautious man and not a complete idiot, he retraces his steps and slips right back out again, but he brought someone along with him. Summary
“My rose,” Lor’themar’s silken, molten-chocolate voice rumbles from the aether to fill the room entire, and Rommath’s back stiffens, eyes wide with a deep flush blossoming swiftly across his cheeks and ears, which press back close to his head.
He has miscalculated. Badly.

Summary
“A survey of the runestones is long overdue, we are all in agreement on this.”
Rommath nodded, and though his mouth was covered like always, Halduron just knew he was smirking under there.
“As this matter is intrinsically tied to the safety of our people, there is nobody else I would trust more on this mission,” Lor’themar continued, looking at Halduron so earnestly, and Halduron would ordinarily agree with the sentiment, but…
Asking him to accompany a mage as they survey the runestones felt a bit too close to babysitting for his comfort.
