Kowalsmith AU loosely based on the movie Jennifer's Body bc Needy and Jennifer's dynamic reminded me of Petey and Gary. (And by "loosely based" I mean the only similarities are that Gary gets possessed by a demon (debatable) and begins cannibalizing ppl at school. whoops.)
This started off as a series of drawings I did and then I turned it into this fic.

"I saw Gary in my dreams often but it was never in the way that I wanted to see him, happy and healthy- brash and obnoxious but doing alright. Instead, he came to me disheveled, anxious, or on the verge of death. He smelt of seawater and that stinging metallic smell that blood or disinfectant is. Sometimes he didn't even show up at all, but I felt him- felt that he was in danger or dying. I had to save him, but I couldn't find him in the nightmarish maze of my subconscious. Occasionally, I still dream of him like that, scared and confused- showing up beside my bed soaked to the bone and shivering. I had come to the conclusion that he had died that day in August. Whoever he was now wasn't the same person he was before." -
