Summary
Felix hasn’t seen Sylvain in eleven months, not that he’s counting, but he’d still recognize him anywhere. He always did take up all the air in any room. Now he’s doing it even outdoors. Felix can’t breathe.
He counts to five. He remembers how to inhale and exhale. He abandons his bags and stalks over so that his shadow falls over Sylvain, folding his arms over his chest.
“You don’t go to this school,” Felix says accusingly, by way of hello.

Sylvain and Felix fake date at Christmas. It goes about as predictably as you’d expect.

Summary
In a pinch Claude could probably scale the bamboo fence, hop over it, and rush back to his room where he would lock and bolt the windows. If Plan A fails, he can scramble up a tree, snap some necks, and then hide out for safety until dawn. Nevertheless, he grips the knife tighter and grits his teeth, steadying himself for a potential fight.
He's probably overreacting given how tight monastery security is, but he's always hated leaving things up to chance. The last thing he wants is for “Here lies Claude von Riegan, killed half-naked and afraid in a sauna standoff” to be engraved on his tombstone for eternity.
All Claude had hoped for was a peaceful, uninterrupted bath.

Blood on his hands.
Here’s the thing. Linhardt would have preferred it far, far more if his spell had been a proper one—just thunder, just electricity, just something to shut that boy’s mouth up quick and fast. It shouldn’t even leave a mark, just a little spark and sizzle, not enough for him to cry to his father but enough to make him run away squealing. Definitely enough to wipe the sneer off his face, and enough to stop him from ever again saying the second son of House Bergliez was stupid.
But there had been something hot, something terrible, something frightening making Linhardt’s hands shake, blurring his vision, and then suddenly there was a zigzag jolt of solidified lightning cracking through the air and plunging into the boy’s arm.
A scream—a long, drawn-out, terrifying sound—and blood on Linhardt’s hands, bright red splattered across his pale, trembling palms.
