“Hollander,” Ilya’s voice is stiff in a way that Shane hasn’t heard towards him in years.
“Ilya,” Shane’s voice breaks, “Fuck I-”
He realizes then and there that he doesn’t have a plan. He doesn’t know what he wants from Ilya. All he knew was that he needed to hear his voice, but he could tell from his tone that Ilya doesn’t want to talk to him right now. Probably never wants to talk to him again, but he picked up the phone, so maybe that means something.

Shane runs from Ilya post tuna melt, gets in a fight, and ends up getting what he actually wants.

“I’m okay, Hen,” He says, turning to face her.
“You look like you haven’t slept in a week,” She states.
“I haven’t,” Eddie admits, “I mean, I’ve gotten some naps in at the station and when I helped Buck at his house the other day, but other than that nothing, I just can’t fall asleep at home anymore.”
“What do you think has changed?” Hen asks; she knows what has changed, but she asks anyway.
Eddie thinks, “My bed is just so cold now. I feel like something is missing. I can sleep at Buck’s, and I can sleep here in the bunks, but for some reason, my bed isn’t comfortable anymore.”
“You think the bunks are comfortable?” Hen asks, looking at him in disbelief. She knows they aren’t, and she’s trying to push Eddie towards the answer, but he’s just not getting it.
“No, it just feels easier to sleep here than at home for some reason,” Eddie says, then yawns again.
OR
Eddie can't figure out why he can't fall asleep after Buck moves out of his house.

Summary
We all wondered since we heard the seemingly throw away line from Shane in Episode 4 about someone being a nice guy, but Yuna bullying him for his hand-eye coordination just who that kid was and how he came to be exposed to the Hollanders, especially Yuna.
My brain decided it was 16 year-old Tyler Wilson, a kid who billeted with the Hollanders during the 2006-2007 hockey season and who was so deeply traumatized by having Yuna Hollander as a billet mom that he accidentally vilified her across North America - please note, he’s justified, he just didn’t mean for it happen.

“Okay,” replied Ilya. With his other hand, he quickly pulled the cigarette from his mouth and let it hang between his fingers. He didn’t let go of Hollander.
