Summary
Egg has been taken away from Wemmbu, he’s been constantly being used as a weapon not only by Arachnid but also Cindercrest. He’s pushed between conflict after conflict, battle after battle, until the line between human and a weapon begins to blur. He begins to question who he even is or if he's just merely a weapon, a tool used at one’s disposal. He begins to struggle beneath the weight of everything, questioning whether he even wants to live or not. Only two people notice: the one closest to him—his best friend, and the one furthest from him—his rival.

Future!Naruto / Obito.
For a moment he thought he was facing a ghost. Those eyes, that hair and that posture ... belonged to a person Obito had known very well. But that person had died because of him.
It couldn't be.
"Who are you?" he then asked, a menacing growl.
The ghost took another step forward, the fire drawing shadows on his serious face and lighting blue eyes bright with determination.
"I'm Uzumaki Naruto," he said, "and I'm from the future."(...)
The man in front of him seemed to have been devoured by the world and spat out of hell, only to have been hastily and inaccurately put back together.
"How ... why did you decide to trust Naruto?" Jiraiya asked him.
Obito barely looked at him, grabbing a heavy black cloak instead. "Madara's plan is doomed to failure, I don't have much choice." He froze, as if he had been struck by a thought and frowned. "There is something about Naruto that makes me want to help him." -

Summary
Knuckleheaded and unpredictable: two words everyone always used to describe Uzumaki Naruto. Traveling back in time to save the world from his hellscape of a future proved those words fitting.
Naruto lost everyone he’d ever loved and didn’t think he could feel anything beyond the desire to complete his mission. He didn’t expect this new (old) Konoha, with new friends wearing familiar faces from his decimated past. He didn’t expect to care so deeply about random jounin he’d barely known before. And, perhaps a tad ironically, he really didn’t expect Kakashi.

As a final stand in a war they never stood a chance of winning, Uzumaki Naruto chooses to use a forbidden blood seal to rip through the fabric of space and time itself rather than admit defeat.
