It was Remus.
That realization made him start with a jolt. The hand he had on top of one of Remus’ felt almost like a violation. He was quick to take it off, and back away as quickly as he could to the farthest corner. He didn’t notice he was apologizing until he heard Remus shushing him.
“Shh, it’s okay, pads. No need to say sorry, I promise.” But even if he wanted, Sirius couldn’t believe him. He felt a little insane at the moment, not knowing if that boy in front of him was actually there, or was a product of the inherited madness. “Look at me.”
And how could Sirius disobey him?
“There you go, love, thank you. Let’s get out of here, yes? I don’t want you to die of hypothermia.”
…
Or, Sirius is dealing with guilt after the prank, Remus is conflicted, and none of them were raised with healthy communication. Also, James is tired. And worried.

Peter leaned back against the couch, tilting his head so his gaze could rest on Tony instead. The shadows from the television stretched across his father's face, outlining every familiar line, every detail Peter ached to remember. It felt like old times — like the countless nights they'd spent just like this — and he tucked the moment away deep inside, committing it to memory for when he returned back to his time.
"I just really wanted to see my dad," he whispered.
Two years have passed since Tony's sacrifice, and Peter still hasn't been able to move on. Everyone around him keeps telling him to, because that's what Tony would have wanted, but they didn't understand. They couldn't.
But somehow he ended up back in time, and Tony was here. Alive. And Peter was not going to waste a single moment.
And maybe, perhaps, he could bring him back home.
(Or: the 50k+ words timetravel fic I accidentally wrote and was meant to keep in my drafts, but I decided to post anyways because I lowkey became obsessed with Iorndad and Spiderson fics.)

Summary
After the deaths of his parents, Peter Parker—along with his two other siblings—were put under the care of his alcoholic aunt. Twelve years later, Peter is juggling life as a sixteen-year-old caretaker of his four cousins, a prodigious student, and a Pizza King employee. Oh yeah, and he’s Spider-Man.
As things start to unfurl, Tony Stark—Peter’s mentor—starts to suspect some issues at home. Peter can’t let his role model know anything or else he risks losing their budding relationship or, more importantly, his family.

TLDR: Aunt May sucks, Peter has to pick up the slack because she’s not only his guardian, but the guardian of his two other siblings & her own four kids. Peter is trying his best. Tony wants to help.
