But no, it was just… different. Strange. “I’m not sure. I think we’re…” His eyes would not adjust to the dark as they should have done. He felt something inside him, a desperate need to feel and see all of the fears that he could, engorged and growing, eager to feast on this bizarre new world. The ceaseless watcher, or what was left of it, had come with him. More than that, it was him. “I don’t know if it did work.”
“What does that mean?”
“We’re certainly somewhere new.”

Martin was looking down at him with a wild expression, eyes full of rage.“What, like with Melanie? Just that perfect bit of information to leave me a wreck?”
“Yes.” Elias stated, simply.
Martin laughed mirthlessly. Elias had never really stopped to notice before just how much he hated him. It was almost impressive. “Well, I hope you’ve got something better than that pathetic dig at my feelings for John.”

The pupil of the eye was wrenched from its watchtower, into the body of Elias Bouchard once more. It was a maddening feeling, to be pulled back to the body he had inhabited and left behind to watch and know and drink in all of the world. No longer one with the eye, he was Jonah Magnus again.
“Jon? Is that you?” Jonah’s eyes felt alien focusing on the man in front of him. He had watched from afar and above, channeled the ceaseless watcher through him for what felt like eons and all the time he had been aware of his archive made flesh. Of being inside him. He smiled up at him now, on his knees. “I was having the most wonderful dream.”

He could just picture Elias' smile at that. Self-absorbed bastard. The Archivist’s discomfort at being known, at his thoughts being unearthed, was precisely what that smug prick wanted. To try and fight the eye as he fed it was to be consumed completely.
He paused. Huh. That was a thought. If he looked back… that might actually work. If he stopped trying to hide his thoughts, trying to not be perceived, what would the eye do? Feast anew? If it could feed on him, it followed that it could feed on Elias. In theory.

“Fuck- you-” izzy managed through the iron taste of his bleeding tongue. Forced to breathe through his nose and so close to his attacker, he felt the full force of the Alpha's scent. And it did something it wasn't supposed to do.
As the smell of tobacco mixed with musk and leather washed over him he felt his body relax, his muscles turning pliant beneath the man's touch.
The attacker clearly noticed this change. Izzy felt rather than heard him Bury his nose into his neck and inhale, taking in his scent. The response was immediate from the Alpha. He strengthened his grip and pushed Izzy into him, a surprised noise coming from somewhere in his throat.“What is someone that smells like you doing out on the streets at night?”
Izzy refused to respond, swallowing blood and letting the cold air in to breathe through his mouth instead. He panted, pain hitting his tongue.
“Aww, what a sweet little beta.” The man murmured against his neck, the vibrations of his voice sent a shiver down Izzy's spine. Fuck.
