Tartaglia falls into the abyss again and loses consciousness, waking up in Khaenri'ah five hundred years ago, meeting Thrain and also seeing their leader in his youth. Both will seek to help Ajax return to the future in exchange for him giving them information about the destruction of Khaenri'ah so they can prevent it.
And no matter how much he tries to deny or repress it, Ajax ends up falling in love with the man who gave him shelter, food, and companionship during his stay in the past. And Thrain... simply falls hopelessly in love with him, with someone he shouldn't, because he doesn't exist in his present until now, because even though they are together, fate will bring inevitable consequences for those who try to defy it.

Summary
Genshin modern college AU centered around Dottolone perhaps... Dottore's (Zandik) definitely studying the sciences, and Pantalone is studying accounting and finance. They get partnered for a project in a shared class and start out butting heads. Pantalone is a bit of a flirt and social butterfly, Zandik's introverted and might have some emotional issues to work out. When the romantic things start, they might be a bit messy; it won't be super linear or intense immediately.
Still based in places in Genshin, like Teyvat, but has the modern aspects of the real world in place of the magic of Genshin.
