Summary

“Stupid responsibilities, stupid twins, stupi-“ Snotlout’s complaining came to an abrupt end as a tree branch that he pushed away harshly came back and whacked him in the face at full force. “Stupid tree branch.” He groaned as he rubbed his throbbing nose.
He was about to let out another loud string of complaints, but a noise from the far distance made him stop. Beyond the patch of forest he was in was a small bright clearing. Snotlout couldn’t see who or what was there properly, but he could hear it.
The soft plucks of a lyre echoed throughout the forest. It made the dragon-infested forest seem safe for the first time of Snotlout’s life. It was weird. Not fearing for his safety and well being made Snotlout feel weird.
As he craned his head towards the sound, he stopped for a moment and thought that although it was weird, he did in fact, like this feeling.
