“babygirl,” i start off with a slight grimace, getting a really confused (and pretty bewildered) look from jason. most of my thoughts are rapid fire, and i tend to speak what’s on my mind, so that’s why i just decided to start yapping.
”why did you call me babygirl—?” jason asks in reply as an interjection, very justifiably confused as to why i did. i adjust my fit slightly—a simple white tanktop that likes to annoy me with how small it is, and some pretty dark n’ baggy jeans, just to pair with my cool sneakers and equally-cool glasses. i thought it was fire, and i wanted to describe it. sue me.
“force of habit, sorry. the vibes go insane, man.” i reply, then continue with my initial statement with a small sigh. that only managed to confuse jason a little further, but that’s fine. ooh, that rhymed on time!
in other words, the author finds themself in the beginning of the lost hero—with memories of participating in the battle of manhattan—and has to navigate the whims of the world and it’s intended course. | lowercase intended, be thankful it isn’t a selfship too. [update: selfshipping involved.]
