Summary
There is something wrong with James. It’s only logical. People do not like him overly much; he has often been told he’s rude, arrogant, dismissive, annoying, obnoxious.
And then there is the very popular phrase ‘What is wrong with you?’ which James has never known how to answer. In the past, it never occurred to him that there could be something wrong. Not when he wasn’t actually sick, or in the hospital for an odd fall or a surgery. He understands now, years later, that his health was never the concern addressed with that question.

Summary
There is something to be said about making a magically binding promise to someone who has thrown pickled garlic in your face. There is also something to be said about her (ex?)husband and his brother returning to the town you set up camp in.
There is absolutely nothing to prepare you for the brother and the rest of the family they drag into their Juke Joint. As long as they don't spot you outside their joint with the blood of a Klansmen dripping down your chin, you're probably fine.

Amongst the many ways of celebrating a new monarch, none is quite so popular as a tourney. For Rhaenyra it is not only a chance to show her appreciation for her own family but to unify the Houses under the crown once more, forging connections and good-will where, perhaps, there was seldom any to be found in the past: By allowing various lords and ladies to declare themselves for one participant, to support them and to lend them their favours should the knight accept and vie for their attentions in the week the tourney.
Aemond Targaryen has never seen the appeal of tourneys before. This one, with his uncle Daemon and nephew Jacaerys as fellow participants, gives him the opportunity to grind their faces in the dirt. He does not care about anything else and no one would declare him their chosen anyways.
That is until Aegon Targaryen leaves the entirety of court speechless the night before the tourney, declaring himself for none other than his brother.

Summary
It had been a long, exhausting shift in the ER. All James wanted to do was go home and sleep for 48 hours straight. An offer for after-work drinks from Dr Whitaker quickly makes James change his plans. This was his chance to finally get to know the young doctor, after pining after him for weeks.
The evening takes an unexpected turn when they end up together at James' apartment.
Was this the start of a new relationship? Something casual? Something they needed to keep hidden from the rest of the world?
James didn't know, all he knew was that he was going to take every chance he could get to get closer to Dennis. -
