"Sokka turned a stick through the embers and said, as casually as he could manage, “You know… you don’t have to sleep alone.”
He felt Zuko go still. There was a pause.
“I don’t think your sister would appreciate me joining you.”Sokka barked out a quiet laugh. “That wasn’t exactly what I meant.”
Zuko looked at him then, wary but listening. Sokka rubbed the back of his neck. “I mean…” He nudged a piece of wood into place. “You could stay in your room. I could join you.”"- Zuko stays up past everybody else. Zuko also gets up first. When his exhaustion turns into lack of concentration and losing his temper at Aang, Sokka notices that Zuko only ever falls asleep with someone near him

Summary
Steve's first real college assignment is to take care of a flour bag baby. With his class partner Eddie Munson, who happens to be an alpha.
-Then Eddie snaps his jaw at the other alpha, the sound of teeth hitting teeth ringing between Steve’s ears. And from his vantage point, he swears he sees Eddie’s eyes flash red.
The other alpha's hands slowly unwind from Eddie’s vest. Eddie bears down until the other cowers. It's subtle. A tilt of his head in deference. Eddie’s won.

Summary
Steve and Eddie are children in 1871, survivors of a shipwreck, living alone on an island paradise. It’s hard, but the boys look out for each other and survive. They share everything, always together, running around the island half-naked because it is hot in the sunshine and there is no one to scold them. Propriety doesn’t matter, at least for the first couple years.
At least until they present.
