There was a beat of silence. The rain against the window seemed louder now.
Hanzo reached slowly for his cup. “I… see.”
Cole Cassidy, an uninspired novelist, meets a stranger at a quiet café on a rainy evening in the late 1990s. A casual conversation about a half-made-up story lingers longer than expected.

Summary
The concentration in his sharp eyes is beautiful. Something akin to the intense look of a predator who is about to pounce on its unsuspecting prey, calculated, waiting. The royal air with which he carries himself, one meant to leave all those against him in the dirt, cowering in fear at his powerful appearance. The elegant arch of his back, the way his muscles pull taut just like the string of the bow he fires almost daily. The soft rise and fall of his chest caused by the slow, deliberate breaths he takes to steady his deadly aim before putting one more arrow straight through the head of a far away training dummy in the shooting range. Lastly, the way light falls on every sharp plane of his face when he turns to look at the cowboy, which seems to make some sort of heavenly aura appear around him. All of these aspects are little things one may notice in the newest Overwatch member, Hanzo Shimada. (If they look as carefully as Jesse McCree does.)
And Jesse is far more in love with him than a sinner like himself has any right to be.

Summary
Jesse and Hanzo have settled into domestic bliss. They’ve been married for years and now live on the fully functional cattle ranch that once belonged to Jesse’s dear, old grandfather (Abuelo). They take care of the cattle, horses, and two cats they adopted by the name of Maki and Sundance. Hanzo’s hair has gotten grayer, and Jesse’s body has gotten softer, but years have only polished the love between these two. In this vignette, Jesse and Hanzo enjoy the first snowfall of the season together as a happy and still highly sexually-active married couple.
