Summary
Surrounded by mounds of cloth, Evgenia sorts through outfit after outfit before pulling out one that gives her pause. She doesn't immediately recognise it. Purple and black, with a high collar and bow. Black tights to match.
"Make a wish."
Evgenia looks over her shoulder, startled by the unexpected voice. She is the only person home at the moment. The room is empty. "One day, you'll also be my enemy. It's fine… I'll keep wishing for… can be happy."
Evgenia turns back and finds herself face-to-face with the Khrustalny lockers. Instead of the strange costume, Luna is in her hands, along with the familiar jacket of the Russian national team.

Being with Byulyi is easy in its familiarity. They work together, commute home, and eat the leftovers from Yongsun's fridge. At some point during one of their hotel room chit-chat sessions, Alina had extended her finger and asked if they could pinky promise that they wouldn’t let the outside world get between them ever again, biting her lower lip and tugging at the corner of it. She looked like a thirteen year old boy working up the nerve to ask his crush to a school dance. It was sweet and mildly endearing, enough to pull a hearty laugh out of Evgenia, one that Alina echoed with a nervous, breathless chuckle.
Zhenya had carelessly hooked the offered finger. Added a small, sealing kiss because she was warm and happy and they’d just spent hours watching the men’s free skating together, belly-laughing while tearing the boys apart.
She’d meant nothing particular by it. She was just being pleasant. She was always pleasant. Surely, Alina wouldn’t think much of the significance or veracity of such a juvenile, meaningless thing. (Clearly, now, Evgenia knew she had. Clearly, Alina had stashed it somewhere else entirely.)
