It was tactics. Honestly, it was. There was only so many times Lance could stand to be flipped and pinned to the floor, or the wall, or find himself panting and generally staring up at the smug look on Keith’s face before drastic action was called for.
So Lance kissed him.
aka Lance finds out that kissing Keith is a great tactic for distraction, and it inevitably turns into a competition. Lance thinks it’s the natural next step in their rivalry, and he refuses to be bested.
The only thing is, Keith never considered it a competition.

Summary
Lan Wangji detects the curse trying to curl through his heart meridians like smoke. A love curse, then. It must have been cast remotely somehow to have found him in his bed in Cloud Recesses. No matter. Lan Wangji crushes it easily, enveloping it in his spiritual energy, and then squeezing. Curse averted, Lan Wangji closes his eyes and goes back to sleep. He thinks no more of it.
Two days later, Wei Wuxian arrives in Cloud Recesses.
Or, Wei Wuxian is cursed to feel terrible pain when he and Lan Wangji aren’t touching.

Keith tying up his hair—Keith smirking at him—Keith doing that little confused frown when he didn’t get something—Keith taking his hand—Keith cuddled up to him in the morning, cold feet pressing against Lance’s calves—even the innocuous things Keith did made Lance hot for him. He’d probably spontaneously combust if Keith did something on purpose.

Keith rolled the painting up and put it away, fully intending to never look, think, or speak of it again.Later that night, when they got back to the castle—back to privacy—Lance took Keith by the hips, and backed him up against a wall.
“Lance? What’s—” Lance silenced him with his mouth.Or, Keith is gifted a painting from a fan of Voltron that features him in a revealing little outfit.
Lance is into it, and Keith is inspired.

Lan Qiren had never wanted to be a politician or leader. That role was meant for his brother. He had done his best in the years he had led the sect but he was aware that he was not the best person for the job. His interests had always been the academic pursuits and teaching the next generation. How could he hope to make an impact on the mess of political manoeuvring and aggression that was imminent? He decided he could only focus on the events which impacted his family the most. He could save Cloud Recesses from being burned. He could protect both his nephews from their disastrous relationships. He could protect the books they lost in the war.
